Origami Science: Triassic World Course Breakdown

Lesson 1: Intro to the Triassic Period
Did you know that Earth once consisted of only one huge continent surrounded by one huge ocean? We'll learn all about pre-historic Earth as we delve into the first period of the Mesozoic Era: the Triassic Period. Beginning with 'The Great Dying', we'll see exactly how the stage was set for the rise of not only the dinosaurs, but also many other amazing creatures. To finish our first lesson, we will model our own origami Triassic World.

Lesson 2: Plants & Animals
In our second class, we will talk about paleontology and find out exactly how we learn so much from fossils. Then, we'll dive into learning about the dinosaurs of our origami model. We'll also learn what plants dominated the landscape, and we'll even explore the evolution of mammals.

Lesson 3: Dinosaurs
We'll meet Tanystropheus, whose neck was 3 meters long. We'll get to know Arizonasaurus and learn exactly how it might've used the enormous sail on its back. By the end of this lesson, we'll see just how varied and unique the Triassic Period dinosaurs really were!

Lesson 4: Beyond Jurassic

We’re not done yet! For our last class, we’ll dive into the periods that really defined the age of the dinosaurs: the Jurassic and the Cretaceous Periods. We'll meet some of the most amazing dinosaurs that ever walked our planet. But, the dinosaurs weren't the only stars of the era! We'll learn about many other lifeforms that evolved during these periods too.
