Our STEAM Adventures Camp focuses on having your child experience constructing all kinds of experiments that tackle basic to complex STEAM-based topics! The main objective is to showcase the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math by allowing the students to participate in the guided activities, while also engaging and discussing with their peers about their thoughts, ideas, and results.
The STEAM Adventures Camp kit* includes:
*While supplies last, subject to change
Campers will dissect how lava is created, where it comes, and why it is important to our environment, and then will play a fun game to get everyone out of their seat! They will then create their very own Lava Lamp while learning about the chemical reaction that takes place.
Campers will learn about rainforest habitats and why some places evolve over the years, what they can do to restore some of Earth's natural parts, and will time travel back to the past together to observe the changes that have occurred overtime.
In this lesson, campers will learn about how air resistance slows a parachute down and create their own parachute! They will measure the different speed of parachute falling depending on the item it is carrying and compare and contrast the differences of the fall with their peers.
Campers will dive into one of our greatest natural disasters - the tornado, and why it occur by making their own tornado in a bottle!
Campers will focus on practicing their coding skills by using the Summer Camp Code. Each camper will be able to create their own coded messages for the other campers to try to decode!
In this class, campers will explore the different frequencies and the important role it plays in making music, and will be able to make music of their own!
Campers will explore colors and how they react to each other when they are mixed. Once they familiarize themselves with colors, they will create a colorful plate of art in the Magic Mixing Experiment.
We all know that breathing is important, but how exactly does it work? Campers will create their own lung model to practice seeing exactly how magical our organs work!
Campers get to be artsy and learn how to create a beautiful self-portrait using their mathematical skills!
