Welcome to Dino Dig Camp!

Let's dig for fossils! Our campers will begin their journey to become Junior Archaeologists and discover all types of creatures that existed on Earth, dive back into the past to revisit time periods, meet ancient animals, and of course, dinosaurs! Using a hands-on and incredibly cool Dino Dig kit, Junior Archaeologists will then dig their own fossils to get a full-on archaeologist experience!

Registration for Online Summer Camp 2021 has ended.
Thank you all for your participation!

*While supplies last, subject to change

Here is a sneak peek in what your child will be able to do in Dino Dig Camp:

Traveling to Precambrian Times

Our Junior Archaeologists will begin their travels all the way to the very beginning: the Precambrian times. They will learn 3 core things about the Precambrian period: the condition of Earth at that time, animals/organisms that lived during the period, and what kinds of evolution happened during that time!

Dinosaur Museum Tour

The Junior Archaeologists will go on a museum tour to discover all the types of dinosaur fossils that have been found in multiple places in the world. Using their workbook, they will trace where on the map specific dinosaurs have been found, what fossil types have been found for each dinosaur, and answer the question of whether they believe dinosaurs have truly gone extinct!

Traveling to Mesozoic Times

Our Junior Archaeologists will continue their travels to the early days as they visit the Age of the Reptiles: the Mesozoic Era. There, they will encounter all kinds of dinosaurs and how archaeologists were able to find out more about them. They will learn the differences of dinosaur diets, and determine how they can find what dinosaurs ate just by looking at their fossils.

Traveling to Cenozoic Times

If the Mesozoic Era was the Age of the Reptiles, the Cenozoic Era is the Age of Mammals. Our Junior Archaeologists will witness the beginnings of several animals that can be seen in modern times, as well as the beginnings of humans and how they lived. They will learn about the types of tools humans used for hunting and gathering, the art they created, and how humans used art, music, and food to develop unique cultures within their groups.

Dino Dig Day!

It's time to start digging! The Junior Archaeologists will use their kit and begin their big digging excursion. With each fossil, Junior Archaeologists will challenge their observational skills to see if they can determine which time period the fossils have come from, what type of fossil the found fossil is, and describe their findings in their workbook. Together as a class, they will show and discuss what they find.
