*Please note that Apple iPhones 6 and older may not support the augmented reality (AR) functions found in the app as Apple no longer supports updates for iPhone 6. We recommend an iPhone 6S or newer to achieve full functionality.
How to Download the App
Go to your designated App store.
Click "Get" to begin downloading the app.
Once the app is successfully downloaded, tap on the app to begin setting it up.
Please note: due to the size of the app, the setup may take about 10 - 15 minutes
Click "Download"
After it has been successfully set up, you will go through a video showing the 3 different viewing options.
After the video is done, click "Start". You will then be able to choose which view option you want to use.
How To Use The App
Choosing View Options
You will be directed to choosing 3 ways to view the virtual reality. For viewing the Virtual Reality, we recommend using the Auto viewing option.
Auto - Recommended
By choosing this view, you can hold your phone for the Handheld view to experience the Augmented Reality sections. When you are going to experience the Virtual Reality section, you will need to insert your smartphone into your VR Goggles.
Using Augmented Reality
For Map View
Open a page of your VR Atlas book. For a test run, go to page 14; you should see the map of the USA.
Point the direction of your smartphone or goggles towards the map; make sure you are able to view the entire pages on your phone screen.
Voila! You should see the map come to life with Augmented Reality!
For Project Steps
Open a page of your VR Atlas book. For a test run, go to page 21; you should see the Project: Dino Dig-Out
For viewing project steps, we recommend viewing them in the Handheld option!
Point the direction of your smartphone towards Step 1; you should see the picture come to life as it shows you how to start digging out your dinosaur bones!
Using Virtual Reality
Open a page of your VR Atlas book. For a test run, go to page 14; you should see the map of the USA.
Point the direction of your smartphone or goggles towards the map; make sure you are able to view the entire pages on your phone screen.
In both the Handheld and Goggle view, you should see boxes that say "VR".
You will see a blue loading circle; wait until it loads and then you will be sent to the VR Tours room!
When you're in the VR Tours room, you can choose any of the available VR tours by pointing or focusing your Goggles.
Once the blue loading circle completes loading, you will be transported to the VR tour!
To exit out of the VR Tours room, point the direction of your smartphone at the Exit button.
