映画が好きです!I love movies! In this course, students will continue their journey into learning the Japanese language, this time through movie and TV magic! Learn how to discuss your favorite anime, movies, TV shows, and more in this fun learning environment.
About Japanese Second Language
The Japanese Second Language Beginner Course is designed to give you a foundation for learning the Japanese language through cultural contexts. Learn in a relaxed environment based on a love for Japan and its culture!
Lesson 1: Movies and TV 1
In this lesson, students will learn more about the history of Japanese cinema and television through reading and discussion. Then, students will practice pronunciation by learning the names of some of their favorite Japanese movies and Anime in their native language!
This course will be taught in English, with the goal to transition to Japanese as students improve their Japanese listening skills. Students must meet these following language requirements in order to take this course.
Speaking Skills: Advanced
Students will need to be able to respond in basic to complex sentences.
Listening Skills: Advanced
Students will need advanced listening skills to be able to follow instructions.
Reading Skills: Advanced
Students will need advanced reading skills to understand written directions.
Writing Skills: Advanced
Students will be required to write during the lesson in their worksheets and complete hw in their workbook.
For students currently taking an ELA program, they must currently be within ELA Advanced K to ELA Advanced Grade 4.
Parental supervision is optional.
Younger students may benefit from Parental/legal guardian supervision for support and guidance.
